Synopsis[]

This Chinese New Year, Kai-Lan and her animal friends are old enough to carry the huge dragon costume! Together, they form the Dragon Team and learn that every job on a team is super, super important!

Plot[]

Today is Chinese New Year, where Kai-Lan is wearing red and yellow clothes. All of her animal friends then arrive, and then they get ready for Chinese New Year, with decorations such as lanterns, flowers, and Ye-Ye cooking dumplings as well. Lulu and Rintoo then find a drum, which they will use for the Chinese New Year celebration. Ye-Ye crafts a dragon float which requires five people to be able to hold it, including everyone.

Ye-Ye tells everyone that they need to work together to be able to carry the dragon. However, Rintoo is unhappy seeing that he ends up being assigned in the middle. When Ye-Ye tells everyone to lift the sticks to hold the dragon float, Rintoo is sitting down, and unhappily holds the float with everyone else while marching. Rintoo suddenly stops and runs off, causing the dragon float to collapse on everyone else, complaining that he doesn't want to be in the middle.

Kai-Lan recaps that Rintoo was getting angry over the fact of being in the middle, and he wasn't happy about being in the middle. Kai-Lan asks Rintoo, who then says that he doesn't think being in the middle is that important of a job. Rintoo and Kai-Lan then watch a group of ants with a drumstick, who the middle stops to tie a shoe, which causes everyone else to lose their balance. After seeing this, Kai-Lan finds a solution; "every job on a team is super super super important."

The team then chants for Rintoo, who eventually then happily returns to the team. Everyone then marches onward with the dragon float. Night falls, with red lanterns being put up, and then fireworks in the sky as well. After the march, everyone eats dumplings and noodles at the celebration. Ye-Ye then gives everyone party envelopes, where then they all follow with a family hug!
