This article shows all the outfits that Kai-Lan has worn throughout the series.

Kai-Lan usually wears a sleeveless blue shirt with two hearts, a jade necklace, orange shorts with darker orange stripes and red trainers with white soles, and 2 red flowers in her hair.

Season 1[]

Life Vest[]

During and after the races, Kai-Lan wears a yellow life vest.

This outfit appears in Dragonboat Festival.

Hat Parade[]

Kai-Lan makes herself a hat made from a green lily pad. It later has a yellow flower on top.

This outfit appears in Everybody’s Hat Parade.

Safari Hat[]

Kai-Lan wears a yellow safari hat.

This hat appears in Safari Pals.

Winter[]

Kai-Lan's winter outfit consists of a yellow, fluffy snow jacket with golden-colored buttons, and light red mittens.

This outfit appears in The Snowiest Ride.

Pajamas[]

Kai-Lan's pajamas are blue footed onesie pajamas with a reddish-orange dinosaur on the front. Her slippers are red with dinosaur claws.

Race car helmet[]

Her helmet is blue with a red-orange stripe down the middle, with a green dinosaur next to the stripe.

This outfit appears in Wait Hoho, Wait.

Roller skates[]

Kai-Lan wears bright red skates with a white toe cap and yellow laces and wheels, along with matching elbow pads and knee pads. Her helmet is also red with yellow spikes, resembling a dinosaur head.

Chinese New Year[]

Her Chinese New Year outfit consists of a red shirt with gold trim on the sleeves and darker red shorts.

Dinosaur Costume[]

She wears a purple dinosaur costume with lighter purple spots.

This outfit appears in Ni Hao, Halloween.

Swimsuit[]

Her swimsuit is white with red apples on it. She also wears red sandals with green flowers on them.

This outfit appears in Beach Day and Rintoo Makes a Splash.

Raincoat[]

Her raincoat is bright yellow with marigold-colored buttons. She also wears yellow rain boots.

This outfit appears in Rain or Shine.

Pirate hat[]

During her playdate with Lulu, Kai-Lan wears a dark violet pirate hat with a white skull on it. Later, she’s also wearing a matching eyepatch.

Sports Clothes[]


Her sports clothes consist of a cerulean-colored tracksuit with yellow stripes on the sides. She also wears red running shoes. During the Dinosaur Race, she wears a hot pink dinosaur floatie.

Season 2[]

Hiking[]

Along with her usual outfit, Kai-Lan also wears a pair of red hiking boots that resemble ladybugs. She is also carrying a ladybug backpack.

Panda slippers[]

At Tolee’s House, she wears white panda slippers instead of her regular shoes.

This outfit appears in Playtime at Tolee’s.

Mama Rabbit Costume[]

Kai-Lan plays the role of the Mama Rabbit in her Monkey King play. Her costume consists of pastel pink bunny ears with pink insides, and a pastel pink rabbit suit with a pink stomach. She also wears a magenta-colored apron with yellow hearts.

This outfit appears in Kai-Lan's Big Play.

Dancing Costume[]

She has a denim blue-colored dancing costume with hearts in a bunch of different shades of pink on it.

This outfit appears in The Ants Dance.

Acrobat[]

Her acrobatics outfit is pink with a yellow waistband. She also has yellow wristbands.

This outfit appears in Rintoo's Big Flip.

Winter[]

Her second winter outfit consists of pink earmuffs with red hearts on them, a yellow vest and boots and a blue backpack with a snowflake on it over a reddish-pink suit with white polka-dots.

Life Vest[]

While on the boat, she wears a chartreuse green life vest, with dark green straps.

Rhino Hat[]

While playing at Lulu's house, she wears a large pink rhino hat on her head. She also has a red balloon tied around her tummy.

Gardening[]

She wears an oversized pink sun hat with an orange band around it.

This outfit appears in Pandy's Puddle.

Magic Robe[]

The magic robe that the Monkey King gives Kai-Lan is bright pink with some transparent yellow fabric.

This outfit appears in Princess Kai-Lan.

Princess[]

As a princess, she wears a gold headpiece with a pink heart-shaped gem on the front and teal flowers on the sides. She also has a pinkish-purple hanfu dress. Her hair is also down.

Season 3[]

Monkey King[]

While in her playhouse before meeting the Monkey King, Kai-Lan dons a red cape and a golden crown.

This outfit appears in Journey to Monkey King Castle.

Fancy Clothes[]

When visiting the Monkey King, Kai-Lan wears a hot pink robe with lilac trim and a red and yellow rosette on the side. The lower part of the robe has a yellow scale pattern. She wears yellow underneath the robe. She also wears pink shoes.

These outfits were never seen in the show, but used in other media such as books, toys, or promotional material.

Tea Party[]

At tea parties, Kai-Lan wears a pink button up robe with matching pink shoes and light blue pants.

This outfit appears in the books Tea for Three and Kai-Lan’s Super Tea Party.

Tea Party (v2)[]

Kai-Lan's other tea outfit is a party dress with a white shirt and a pink lace mini skirt and a black belt around the waist. She also wears black Mary Jane shoes and the flowers in her hair are pink.

This outfit appears on some stickers in the book Tea for Three as well as the Tea Time T-Shirt.

Gardening[]

While she's gardening, she wears a red bandana with a floral pattern on it. She also has a baby pink short-sleeved shirt, and cerulean blue overalls with a red heart on the front pocket. She also wears red shoes with amber-colored laces.

Cat Costume[]

In a scrapped episode, Kai-Lan wears an orange cat costume with a yellow-orange stomach. The whiskers resemble Rintoo's and are the same yellow-orange color. The insides of the ears are pink, and the tail has dark brown stripes.

Birthday party[]

She wears a blue, pink, and yellow dress and plum-colored shoes with fuchsia-colored flowers on them. Her hair flowers are the same fuchsia color. She also has a party hat with pink, blue, and yellow stripes and a pink pom-pom on top.

This outfit appears on some shirts and on personalized party invitations.

Sports (V2)[]

In a scrapped storybook, Kai-Lan wears the same same tracksuit from The Dinosaur Games, but also has a red headband with a blue stripe. Her hair is also tied into a ponytail.

Along with her regular shorts, shoes and necklace, she sports an emerald green T-shirt with a yellow star on it. She’s also wearing a green bracelet on her wrist that also has a star.

Her dinosaur costume appears the same as in Ni Hao Halloween, but is instead dark red with a yellow tummy and spikes and golden orange spots.

When on a quest with the Monkey King, Kai-Lan dons the same magic robe from Princess Kai-Lan, but it is red instead of pink.

At the barber shop, Kai-Lan’s hair is styled in a ponytail sticking up. Her hair flowers are also more closer to her ears.
