The Monkey King（simplified Chinese: 孙悟空 traditional Chinese: 孫悟空") was created in 2009, is a minor character of Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. He is voiced by Jack Cygan. He is first mentioned in "Ni Hao, Halloween", where Hoho dresses up as him, and then in "Kai-Lan's Big Play", where they do a play about him. He then makes his first appearance in "Princess Kai-Lan" and "Journey to Monkey King Castle", the two last episodes of the series.
Basic Information[]
The Monkey King is Kai-Lan and friends' favorite superhero. He has a magic stick which goes "shoom" to make magic stuff happen. The Monkey King has a transformation suit that enable him to shift into anything he can think of. Besides his magic stick, he also wears magic red shoes which allows him jump very high.
