Mr Sun ("太阳") is one of the main characters on the show. He is yellow and round, and has a face. In the beginning of nearly every episode, he is found sleeping. Kai-Lan (or her friends), with help from the viewers, tickle him in order to wake him. After that, he sometimes lets out miniature versions of himself, which are known as "sun fuzzies" and they tickle Kai-Lan and her friends. In some episodes, he is found doing several things, (e.g. playing a trumpet, wearing earmuffs and wearing a garden hat).

- Although he never talks, he can be heard yawning in The Moon Festival.
