Playtime at Tolee's is the 4th episode of season 2 of Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. In this episode, Tolee refuses to forgive Rintoo for tearing his panda painting. It aired on May 13, 2009, as part of a week of new episodes, following Kai-Lan's Big Play.
In production order, it is the 3rd episode of the second season.
Plot[]
Kai-Lan gets a card from Tolee in her mailbox, which invites her to his treehouse to go play. First off, Kai-Lan plans to get apples with Ye-Ye as she wants to bring a present to Tolee's treehouse. Going to the treehouse, Rintoo and Hoho arrive as well with pineapples and bananas. Hoho accidentally knocks over Kai-Lan's apple basket, where Kai-Lan forgives him, stating that she's not mad at him. Tolee then appears and then brings them up via his raft elevator.
Tolee's house is filled with panda merchandise; panda teacups, panda chairs, and panda plates. They all bring their fruit snacks to Tolee, where he then puts them up via the shelves. Rintoo accidentally puts on the wrong shelf, where he puts the pineapples on the banana shelf, where they quickly fix. Tolee then shows everyone his panda painting, but Rintoo then squashes his panda hat, but then he presses it back to normal, where Tolee does forgive. However, when playing Pass the Pandy, Rintoo accidentally rips Tolee's painting, where he fixes it, Tolee however, suddenly makes an angry face towards Rintoo, telling him that he refuses to forgive him. This causes Rintoo to feel bad, and sit outside.
Kai-Lan recaps that when Rintoo ripped and fixed his painting, he thought Tolee would forgive him again, but he refused to, which made him feel bad. Rintoo states that ripping the painting was an accident, but he didn't mean to, but Tolee refused to forgive him. Kai-Lan tries to get Tolee to forgive Rintoo, but he's still angry and doesn't want to. While playing music, the one of the violins break, where the trombone player fixes it, and the violin player mouse forgives him. Kai-Lan then finds a solution; "when someone is really sorry, just say, it's okay, so they don't feel bad."
Having learned his lesson, Tolee decides to forgive Rintoo for ripping his painting, but first tells him it's okay to go inside now. Tolee tells him that he is willing to forgive him to rip the painting, which makes him feel better. Everyone then does ribbon dancing outside the boat-shaped treehouse, where Ye-Ye appears playing his tuba.

- Rintoo: Yeah. I didn't mean to rip his painting. And I said I was sorry, and I fixed it.
- Hoho: Good as new.
- Rintoo: But Tolee won't forgive me. That makes me feel bad.
- Kai-Lan: We were right. Rintoo feels bad because Tolee won't forgive him.
- Rintoo: Tolee, we brought you some presents.
- Kai-Lan: Yeah, to say thank you for having us over.

- Moral: Always forgive your friend, if he causes an accident, and don't make him feel bad.
- This is the first appearance of Kai-Lan's dinosaur mailbox.
- This the second time that Tolee has another pair of panda slippers, the first time was in Kai-Lan's Campout.
- On DVD rips, this episode is a bonus episode of Wonder Pets! (another Nick Jr. series) Ollie's Slumber Party.
Goofs[]
- Hoho suddenly jumps a space on the panda tile outside in the treehouse on the closeup shot, where he jumps from on the left to in the middle.
- When Kai-Lan is describing Tolee's treehouse, the panda plates disappear in one shot from the table, when it was already there on the previous shots.
- If you slow it down on that shot where Kai-Lan goes off screen after the recap, she suddenly disappears.
- On the shot where everyone reprises "We Got It" in the ending, if you slow it down you can see Ye-Ye hovering off to the left off-screen.
