About This Episode[]

Hoho gets disappointed that it's too cloudy to see the moon at the Chinese Moon Festival

Plot[]

It is morning time, where Mr. Sun rises up. Today, Kai-Lan and Hoho are planning to go to a Moon Festival, where Mr. Sun goes down and everyone gets together to do a lantern parade. They meet up with Rintoo and Tolee, who are decorating their lanterns for the lantern parade. Hoho gets a pig lantern, Kai-Lan gets a dinosaur lantern, Rintoo gets a chicken lantern, and Tolee gets a panda lantern. Wanting mooncakes for the lantern festival, the four meet Mr. Fluffy at his bakery, as everyone else wants mooncakes too.

Going inside the bakery, they meet Mr. Dragon who serves as the cook for the mooncakes. Rintoo grabs the three mooncakes, and Tolee places them on the table. They head back outside to see Mr. Sun sleepy, continuing to set. They meet Ye-Ye at the tables, where he then has dumplings for everyone. After they eat, nighttime has already fallen, and they then call for fireflies to light their lanterns. They march with their lanterns, only to find out that the moon is being blocked by clouds. This causes Hoho to cry.

Hoho was crying that the moon was being covered by the clouds, and that he was disappointed about not being able to see the moon in the Moon Festival. They then watch the ants march with a dragon lantern, only for them to fall and the lantern split into pieces, where they make into star lanterns. Kai-Lan finds a solution; "when things goes bad and you feel sad, find a way to make things better, better, better."

Kai-Lan, Tolee, and Rintoo come up with an idea; making their own moon by combining their lanterns like how the ants did. After combining the lanterns, the fireflies come and light it up. Hoho then feels better and everyone heads back to the table with Ye-Ye, where Mr. Fluffy gives out the mooncakes for everyone. They then make a wish to the moon, where a breeze of wind causes the moon to light up again.
